Please come on August 25th and September 22nd from 10:30-12:30, if you would like advice from an attorney. Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy will be offering Office Hours at IEC. Office Hours is a program that provides outreach and education for people with disabilities. VOPA’s aim for the program is to build collaborative relationships with consumers and staff from the agencies who participate in the program. Office Hours is an advisory service where VOPA staff can address specific areas requiring advocacy and where public awareness can be heightened via trainings provided by VOPA staff. VOPA will provide Information and Referral Assistance to individuals who have been scheduled for Office Hours services. VOPA will provide reasonable accommodations as needed, but ask for 10 days notice prior to your appointment to prepare for and schedule the reasonable accommodations. Steven Trauber; an attorney from VOPA, will be at the IEC office on a first come first served basis. He can also be here on those dates at different hours for pre-arranged appointments.
