Last summer, as a grant requirement, IEC had its first ADA Fair.  This turned out to be a big event for our small non-profit organization and the community.  Over 30 businesses came and set up exhibits to display

information about their organizations and what they offer to the public.  There was a raffle and silent auction with crafts, pottery, artwork, gift certificates, spa products, a unique hand-crafted quilt and even a brand new power scooter.  All of these items and many more were donated by generous community members, business owners and other local organizations.  It turned out to be a true community event with lots of information sharing, networking and just plain fun.

On Saturday, July 19, IEC will have its Second Annual ADA Fair at Harris Pavilion in Manassas.  We hope to make this year’s event bigger and better and hope you, our reading public, will come and take part!

Again we will have a silent auction, t-shirt sale, raffle, food, games and lots of fun, information available and networking and socializing opportunities.  We also need donated items for the event and always welcome energetic volunteers.  All funds raised during the event directly benefit IEC consumers and others in the disability community.  Remember, supporting IEC is supporting independence for people with disabilities!  Come join us as we celebrate historic legislation, community, and the ADA!  For more sponsorship or exhibitor information, contact Stephanie at 703-257-5400 extension 115.
